Seren Dŵr paddlers enjoyed a fantastic weekend at Langham Farm, with 17 paddlers taking part across Wildwater racing, team events and slalom competition. From first-time racers and river paddlers to podium finishes, promotions and even a victory over an Olympic medallist in Wildwater C2, the weekend showcased everything that makes the club special.

Seren Dwr paddlers produced an excellent set of results at Holme Pierrepont, with race wins, podium finishes and two exciting Division One promotions for Harrison Morton and Izabella Starka. The weekend also featured kayak cross, wild water racing and paddlers taking on new disciplines across one of the UK’s most exciting white water venues.

Seren Dŵr freestyle kayaker Math Cradock, aged 17, has secured his place on the Team GB Freestyle Kayaking squad for the second year running. Ranked UK Number 1 in Junior Men’s K1 Freestyle, Math’s kayaking journey from local club paddler to international competitor highlights the pathway for young athletes in British canoe freestyle and showcases the impact of community-led paddling development.

Idris and Evan share their experience of the Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course, from learning practical rescue skills to getting stuck into real scenarios on the water. A fun, hands-on day that builds confidence and shows why it’s a great next step for any paddler.
