Louis Cousins enjoyed an action-packed North Wales weekend, taking 3rd place in the GB Freestyle Youth Series on the River Dee before joining Seren Dŵr for a fun club day on the River Tryweryn, full of rapids, progression, and great scenery.

Seren Dŵr freestyle kayaker Math Cradock, aged 17, has secured his place on the Team GB Freestyle Kayaking squad for the second year running. Ranked UK Number 1 in Junior Men’s K1 Freestyle, Math’s kayaking journey from local club paddler to international competitor highlights the pathway for young athletes in British canoe freestyle and showcases the impact of community-led paddling development.

Idris and Evan share their experience of the Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course, from learning practical rescue skills to getting stuck into real scenarios on the water. A fun, hands-on day that builds confidence and shows why it’s a great next step for any paddler.
