Seren Dwr Kayak Freestyle Talent Math Cradock honoured with GLL Sport Foundation Award

Seren Dwr Canoe Club is thrilled to announce that our very own Math Cradock has been awarded a prestigious GLL Sport Foundation Award for 2025. This recognition highlights Math’s dedication to kayak freestyle and his promising future in the sport.

At just 16 years old, Math has already made significant strides in Freestyle, representing Great Britain on the international stage. His commitment and passion are evident in every training session and competition.

The GLL Sport Foundation, the UK’s largest independent athlete support programme, aims to bridge the gap in sports inequalities and support today’s and tomorrow’s athletes. In 2025, the Foundation is providing £1.4 million in funding to over 2,800 athletes across more than 70 areas in the UK. This support includes financial assistance, access to training facilities, physiotherapy, and lifestyle mentoring .

Math’s achievement is not only a personal milestone but also a testament to the supportive environment at Seren Dŵr Canoe Club. Based at the Cardiff International White Water Centre, our club offers training in slalom, freestyle, and kayak cross disciplines, nurturing athletes from beginners to GB squad members .

We are immensely proud of Math and look forward to supporting his continued growth in the sport. His success serves as an inspiration to all our members and the wider canoeing community in Cardiff.
