In it to win it!

Thursday saw the kickoff of our first division 4 event of the year at CIWW. It was great to see new faces and all our paddlers had the chance to try something new! Whether that was their first slalom, trying a different craft or jumping on the course for the first time!

To start us off in K1 men we had Henry in first followed closely by Evan in second and Rory sneaking in for third! Mahath was first J14, Ronan first J12, Jamie first J10 and Arwyn J8! Huge congratulations to Ioan and Ben for their first race - you did fantastic!

For K1 women we had Martha in first, Maya second and Anna third. Emily on her first ever race came J12, we are so impressed with all of you!

There was a big demand to try out C1 & C2 with Louis first, Freddie second and Evan third in C1 men. Rosie even gave C1 a go with a great result! In C2 we had Rowan & Arwyn team up coming in first place, Rosie & Anna coming in second, Ronan & Evan scoring third and Maya & Martha coming in for J12.

Most improved paddler awards go to... Freddie in C1, Martha in K1, Evan C1 & K1 and Ronan K1!

After races those who still had energy headed up to the whitewater on kayaks and inflatables for pure joy!

We had such a fabulous evening with you all and we can't wait to see who will join us for more division 4 races and progression to division 3!
